The two newest, cute members at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.
Nigerian dwarf goat Hazel gave birth to female twins Friday afternoon. With the twins’ arrival, there are now 17 Nigerian dwarf goats in the Kids’ Zone at the zoo.
Just four days old, the goats weigh just four pounds. They won’t get big – dwarf goats, which are miniature dairy goats from West Africa, grow to just 24 inches tall about up to 75 pounds.
Point Defiance is asking the public for their opinion on what the goats should be called. The options are:
- Opal and Agnes
- Sugar and Spice
- Cora and Elsie
